Newly-elected Georgia official takes oath of office with right fist raised and left hand on copy of Malcolm X autobiography

The radical Marxist Left is on the move across America and they’re coming to your city — soon.

One of them was just elected — by 13 votes — to the city counsel in Athens, Georgia.

Mariah Parker, 26, a black woman with a 1960s-style afro and a massively negative attitude about white people, eschewed the Bible, stuck her right fist up in the air and placed her left hand on a copy of Malcolm X’s autobiography during her swearing-in ceremony.

She is now District 2’s new representative on the Athens-Clarke County Commission.

“They asked if they would like the Bible and I said no. My mother asked if there was a copy of the Constitution around. No,” she told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I wanted Malcolm’s book,” which was actually written by Alex Haley after he was assassinated, ironically, by members of the Nation of Islam.

Currently a doctoral student at the University of Georgia, Parker is just one of the many radicals Democratic-aligned groups are tapping to fill local and statewide offices, where they can then continue Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America.

Make no mistake: Ms. Parker has no intention of representing her constituents, per se. No, her intention is “racial and social justice” — which, when uttered by a minority tends to mean, ‘I want to stick it to whitey because whitey has been so racist against my people for far too long.’

“My platform centers around economic and racial justice,” she told The Red & Black in February, when she began her candidacy. “The policies of this town have been structured, deliberately, to ensure that a certain class of people will continue to thrive and a certain class of people will continue to not.”

“We need to stop putting people in jail because they can’t pay cash bail,” Parker continued. “We need to stop people feeling threatened in their own communities because police officers are targeting them based on the color of their skin or where they hang out.”

This isn’t about democracy

In an interview with The Flagpole, she was even more direct. “The racists have all the money, still, so it’s economically advantageous to cater to them,” she said.

Her answer? Earmark 30 percent of all city contracts for black-and-Latino-owned businesses, which would, of course, give those companies carte blanche to charge inflated rates because they’d be guaranteed business.

To the detriment of the city and its taxpayers. (Related: Anti-white racism is becoming blatant on college campuses.)

The hate this individual harbors is almost as palpable as the overt racism she displays. One of the most important objectives of the 1960s-era Civil Rights movement she seeks to recreate was that Americans should stop stereotyping people of color and discriminating against them.

By all accounts those objectives have been accomplished. There is far more equality today in America than at any time in our history. Blacks, under Trump, are seeing historic drops in unemployment and historic rises in opportunity.

But this hater doesn’t allow herself to see such progress. She’s got a massive chip on her shoulder and a self-taught misconception about today’s America. She’s not out for “justice,” she’s out for revenge. For something.

And she’ll go through life believing every step of the way that she is justified in her hate and racism — despite being a living, breathing example of her own hypocrisy: A college-educated, public office holder in a country that is supposedly so racist people like her aren’t supposed to achieve such things.

Make no mistake, the Marxist Left, through organizations like “Run For Something,” are organizing and training young “progressive” candidates who have no desire to represent anything or anyone who doesn’t share their radical, Left-wing, demented view of America.
